Lookbook: Styling Skirts

I love a sexy skirt, but I know sometimes wearing the same old bodycon skirt and cropped top combination gets SUPER boring. This lookbook is all about the different ways I love to style a skirt!

Outfit 1: Ready for War

The camo shirt makes the outfit a lot more relaxed than it would be if paired with, for example, a bodysuit. Wearing the camo top tucked into the skirt adds a sense of "put togetherness". Wear green pumps instead of black to avoid unnecessary harshness.

Outfit 2: Damsel in Distressed Denim

Denim on denim is a look you have to be incredibly careful styling. It's easy for the two denim pieces you wear to clash. I suggest you wear light denim with light denim and dark with dark (with the exception of black. Black denim mixes with many different washes). The boots add a classy feel.

Outfit 3: Rated G for Graphic Tee

Treat your denim skirt like it's a pair of basic jeans. Style it with your favorite graphic tee. Opt for heels instead of sneakers. These holographic ones keep the look playful.

Outfit 4: Monochromatic Moves

Monochromatic two piece sets are the easiest and safest way to wear a skirt. But it can get really plain really fast. If you like plain, that's not such a bad thing. But, if you want to liven it up, add pops in your accessories. These booties have a pop of gold in the zipper. Something as simple as this khaki green jacket take the look from super basic to super chic.

Outfit 5: Flirtatious Flares

A skater skirt is as flirty as it gets. It's smaller at the waist and flares at the hips which gives the illusion of that hourglass figure. Pairing this skirt with a bodysuit is the best option. Keep it tight on top since your skirt is so flared.
