2016 Met Gala Favs

It's a fashionistas favorite time of year again! Monday night was the 2016 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala. This event is a fashion lovers dream, and this years theme was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology. So many celebs and influencers shined brighter than diamonds, and a few...not so much. We all have our most and least favorites, and here are mine!

These are just a few of my favorite looks from this years Met Gala, and this wasn't even including the men!!!!! I already can't wait for next years Gala!

CELEB STYLE SPOTLIGHT: KANYE WEST

Kanye West may be more known for his unconventional approach to life, and his controversial comments. But, his fashion sense is undeniably trendy.

Kanye's spread in GQ displays his sense of style amazingly.

He has a style that can be easily imitated and also appropriate for many occasions.

The way he transitions from formal wear to casual street wear is effortless. I love that even with his formal attire he doesn't compromise his sense. You still get that classic Kanye feel no matter what he's wearing. His influence on the fashion sense of those around him is very clear (especially Kim Kardashian-West).

CELEB STYLE SPOTLIGHT: JENNIFER LOPEZ

Jennifer Lopez has always had her own iconic style. It's a nice balance of street looks and high fashion couture.

The fur vest and heels boosted a simple street look and made it look 10 times more fashionable.

Here J Lo balanced out the overwhelming aspects of her bright colored heels with the softness of her coat. Her sunglasses are delicately glam. This look is what I refer to as the fashion mullet. (Sweet/business up top, party down below).

Jennifer Lopez effortlessly switches back and forth between casual street looks, and red carpet worthy fashion. What I love most is that a lot of her looks are easy to recreate if you search for similar pieces on your favorite fashion sites. J Lo will forever be one of my favorite style icons!

Celeb Style Spotlight: Draya Michele

Draya really seems to be reinventing her style lately. It's become a combination of sexy and sweet. Her stylist mixes both designer and inexpensive pieces and creates an amazing look.

Most of Draya's outfits are very basic, but in the best way possible.

The delicate materials and colors used balance out the sexiness of the crop top.

Draya's looks are easy enough for the everyday woman to duplicate without breaking the bank. But, still allowing you to be caught up on latest trends!

Celeb Style Spotlight (Baby Edition): North West

Believe it or not, this super adorable 2 year old is a fashion ICON. It sounds crazy, I know. But, think about it. How many times have all of you with little ones seen North West and thought "My baby would look great in that!", or ran to the internet to see if you could find similar pieces for your baby?

I love that Kim and Kanye keep North looking stylish, without dressing her in things that are inappropriate for a toddler.

North always looks very comfortable in her clothes. Everyone knows, an uncomfortable child is a cranky child.

It's impossible to deny the fact that North looks AMAZING in this adorable little tutu. Little girls everywhere definitely will be rocking inspirational pieces from all of North's outfits for a longgggg time.

Celeb Style Spotlight: Gigi Hadid

Honestly, I never paid too much attention to Gigi Hadid until recently. But now, I'm wishing I noticed this golden goddess much sooner. Her fashion sense has me GAGGING and running to find look-a-likes!

Gigi makes everything look sexy. She's extra stunning here in attendance to the VMA's.

Here's Gigi in Balmain X H&M, of course, looking flawless.

As beautiful as Gigi looks all dolled up, she looks even more flawless in her casual wear.

Gigi's look go from starlet to street style quickly. I love how easy she transitions from look to look.

Celeb Style Spotlight: Kylie Jenner

I've always been a huge Kardashian/Jenner fan. Some people may disagree with the way they live their lives, but there's no doubt that their fashion sense is OUT OF THIS WORLD. And Kylie Jenner has most definitely come into her own.

Kylie's style is very versatile. She goes from super glam to extremely casual and everywhere in between.

She transitions from casual to glamorous effortlessly, from head to toe.

Here, Kylie is in Vera Wang for NYFW.

This is by far my favorite look of Kylie's. The styling and the execution of the entire look is amazing. And her blonde hair and makeup helps to tie everything together.

The Kardashian/Jenner family as a whole has an amazing fashion sense. We should all take a page from their book of fashion.
