Because Birkenstocks are Back: Review

It's no secret that Birkenstock sandals aren't exactly the most favored of all, but are they worth the money for any reason? I decided to review them!

I purchased the 'Gizeh' in the color Onyx Birko-Flor. They retail for $94.95 on the Birkenstock website.

Let's start with the negative.

Cons:

•they aren't exactly the MOST comfortable.

the cork soles don't offer the most amount of comfort I've ever felt, but to be fair most sandals is own aren't very comfortable. It's not too bad and honestly you adjust.

• The price is slightly high for something so basic.

The sandals are sooooo basically designed and easily imitatable (there are MILLIONS of retailers that offer very similar designs for cheaper prices) that paying a high price may be a bit of a stretch, especially if your pockets ain't got it! BUT you can always buy from amazon or eBay for cheaper.

Now for the positives!

Pros:

• they are so basic that they are a closet staple

They literally go with 90% of the outfits I wear

• they're great for summer days out

They're a practical shoe to wear for a day out in the summer.

• the variety

Birkenstock's come in a large range of colors and styles so there's something for everyone

I would give these shoes a 7/10. They're basically the Ugg Boot of the sandal world. Meaning, they're not that cute, and they're slightly overpriced, but you still want them in your closet!
