Hey Fashionistas! Did you miss me? Because I missed you! There has been so much going on, which is why I haven't blogged in such a long time (almost 2 months, yikes).
First off, I've been rebuilding and revamping my wardrobe. My personal wardrobe compared to the styling tips and inspiration that I give you guys are like night and day. I literally lived in leggings and camisoles for the most part, which isn't a crime if that's your thing (I'm literally in leggings and a tank as I type this post, while eating a cherry slush puppie... which btw tastes AMAZING). But, basically I wasn't following a lot of my own style tips. So I've been really focusing on adding pieces to my wardrobe that look amazing that I'll ACTUALLY wear on a regular basis.
One problem I had with my wardrobe was the fact that I had so many gorgeous pieces that were a tad bit too dressy. So I've added a lot of chic casual pieces. A lot of these pieces gave me inspiration for a lot of posts! There's one post I have planned about styling grid print, I can't wait!
I was thinking, I should have been vlogging this whole wardrobe revamp process. It would have been interesting for you guys to see. But since it's kind of too late for that, I'll just be doing a haul
for the blog. BUT, I did want to start a series about styling a curvy body (since this is Curves and Cartier). Showing things like how to find the right jeans, clothing items to avoid, etc. I don't know if it will be vlog style or just a regular blog post, but that series is in the works in my brain.
Being gone from my blog so long sucked, but I was still pretty active on my instagram (stylebykee), which is why it's so important to follow me on there! It's easier to make a quick post and slap it on instagram than it is to type up an entire post for my blog, so updates go to instagram before they come here.
Speaking of instagram, I recently started something new on my account. I'm participating in the #100daysofmakeup challenge. For those of you who don't know what that is, everyday for 100 days I will post a different makeup look. I wanted to participate in this hashtag so that I could test my artistic limits as a makeup artist. I realized that on my own face, there are a lot of colors and application methods that I won't try. So I figured, trying this challenge will force me to try new things! (Like this wearable blue eyeshadow look. Surprisingly I've never worn blue eyeshadow in this way). So be sure to follow me on IG (stylebykee).
There's a few things that I want to work on over the course of the next several months. I want to start the process of an online store. The lack of something often calls for the creation of something else. There are tons of online fashion boutiques, but a lot of them are super similar, and sell basically the same pieces. I want to create a shop for women of all shapes and sizes and sell unique, but trendy items.
I named my account stylebykee, because I want to produce stylish content. Style isn't only about fashion. Style dabbles into fashion, and makeup, and hair, and inner beauty as well. All of those aspects contribute to your style. Just like I revamped my wardrobe, I want to revamp my youtube channel. I felt like all of the content I produced wasn't...for lack of a better word, authentic. It displayed my artistry, but it didn't display my personality. I always felt like people support someone they feel like they can relate to. You don't know that you can relate to me if all you ever hear is music lol. So, by August (seems like a long time but I'm just being realistic here), I will start to produce fresh, new content!
This was the longest rant ever lol, but so necessary. Stay tuned for all of the great things I have planned for you guys! Peace and love.
